## In summary

- Sticky notes for brainstorming on an infinite canvas
- Drop notes in ten colors, write inside, move them as a block, and let AI group them by topic. On the same board where you later draw the diagram.

## Sticky notes for brainstorming on an infinite canvas

One note in two gestures: ‘N’ key and click on the canvas. Drag instead of clicking and it comes with the size you want; type with it selected and you're already writing inside.

Ten colors designed for notes: when you select a note, the palette changes to yellow, orange, pink, red, green, mint, blue, lilac, gray, and white, and when multiple are selected, they are all repainted at once.

The text never gets cut off: the note grows taller as you type, and if you've manually set the size, the font decreases from 16 to 11 px to fit. With bold, italic, and underline.

True multiple selection: selection box by dragging, Shift + click, Ctrl+A, and on mobile, a 'Select multiple' mode with a counter for tapping notes with your finger.

Order without eyeballing: six alignments, equal spacing horizontally and vertically, duplicate with Ctrl+D, copy and paste style, and snap to a 24 px grid with alignment guides.

Two ways to group: Ctrl+G joins the selection into one piece that moves together, and frames with titles stay with notes whose center falls within, so when you move the frame, all move behind it.

AI groups by topic: 'Group' reads the text of your notes, suggests groups with titles, and creates a frame for each group rearranging the notes inside. A Ctrl+Z undoes it if you're not satisfied.

It doesn't stay on the canvas: threaded comments and tags per note, find and replace within the text, export to PNG, SVG, PDF, and JSON, presentation mode, auto-save, and 30 versions per board.

Select the sticky note tool in the editor toolbar or press the 'N' key, then click on the canvas: a yellow note of 140 × 140 px appears, borderless and with a shadow. If you drag instead of clicking, the note will be created at the size you draw. To write, double-click on it; if it is already selected, just start typing. The text aligns to the left and supports bold (**text**), italic (*text*), and underline (__text__). On mobile, the note is inserted from the 'Insert (+)' button in the bottom menu.

How do I create a sticky note in FlowBoard?

There are ten note colors —yellow, orange, pink, red, green, mint, blue, purple, gray, and white—: when you select a note, the editor's fill palette changes from the generic shapes to this one, and if you have multiple notes selected, the color is applied to all at once. As for the text, there is no fixed character limit: the note grows taller as you write. If you have manually set the size by resizing it, then the font size reduces from 16 px to a minimum of 11 px to ensure the text fits without being cut off. You can also change the font size (from 12 to 48 px), the text color, alignment, opacity, and shadow.

What colors can the notes be and how much text fits in one?

To select multiple: drag a selection box over the empty canvas, add or remove notes with Shift + click, or press Ctrl+A to select all; on mobile, there's a 'Select multiple' mode (in the long press menu) that lets you tap notes with a counter at the top. Once selected, you can drag them as a block, move them with the arrows (1 px, or 24 px with Shift), align them to any of the six edges and centers, distribute them evenly horizontally or vertically (from three notes), duplicate them with Ctrl+D, copy and paste style with Ctrl+Shift+C and Ctrl+Shift+V, change their color, lock them, or group them with Ctrl+G. When dragging, notes snap to a 24 px grid and guides appear when aligning with another element.

How do I move or group multiple notes at once?

Yes. In the AI Assistant of the board, the 'Group' tab sends the text of all written notes (at least two are needed), returns thematic groups with a proposed title for each, and creates a frame for each group below what you already have on the board, rearranging the notes of each topic inside. It does not delete or rewrite anything: it only moves and frames, and a Ctrl+Z undoes the entire operation. Each grouping consumes tokens from your AIsToHire account balance, and the app will notify you if you do not have enough before doing anything. The titles of the frames appear in the language of your account.

Can the AI sort my notes by topic?

Not yet: each board is edited by one person, there is no simultaneous editing or cursors from other participants. In practice, the session is done by sharing the screen —the presentation mode shows the board in full screen— and asynchronous work, leaving a comment thread for resolution in each note, tagging them, and exporting the result to PNG, SVG, PDF, or JSON. The board auto-saves while you work, saves a local draft if you close the tab, and keeps up to 30 versions to go back; it supports up to 1,500 elements, and your account allows up to 50 boards.

Can I brainstorm with my team at the same time?

FlowBoard is AIsToHire's infinite whiteboard, and sticky notes are its fastest element. Press the note in the toolbar —or the ‘N’ key— click on the canvas, and you have a 140 × 140 px note ready to write; if you drag instead of clicking, it comes with the size you set. Double click to edit, and with a selected note, just start typing to write inside. The text supports bold, italic, and underline with markdown markers (**this**, *this*, __this__), and if it doesn't fit, the note grows taller by itself; when you manually set the size, the text reduces from 16 to 11 px so nothing gets cut off.
Color is half the method. When selecting a note, the fill palette changes to the ten inks designed for post-its —yellow, orange, pink, red, green, mint, blue, lilac, gray, and white— instead of the generic shape palette. They are enough to code by author, by block of the retrospective, or by phase of the journey map. Each note has its corner folded and its shadow, and if you select several and choose a color, it applies to all at once.
Moving and grouping is what turns a pile of notes into a conclusion. Drag a note and it snaps to the 24 px grid, with alignment guides when it lines up with its neighbors; the arrow keys nudge it 1 px, or 24 px with Shift. To work with multiple notes: drag a selection frame over the empty canvas, add notes with Shift + click or select all with Ctrl+A; on mobile, “Select multiple” lets you tap notes with a counter above. With the selection made, you can move them as a block, align them by any of the six edges and centers, distribute them evenly in horizontal or vertical, duplicate them with Ctrl+D, copy and paste their style, change their color, group them with Ctrl+G to move as a single piece, or place them in a frame with a title: the belonging to the frame is calculated by the center of each note, so when moving the frame, all go inside.
And when the board fills up, AI organizes. In the AI Assistant, the “Group” tab reads the text of all your notes (at least two written are needed), proposes thematic groups with a title for each, and creates a frame for each group below the existing content, rearranging the notes inside. It consumes tokens from your balance and, like everything on the board, can be undone with Ctrl+Z. Additionally, each note can have its thread of comments with resolution and its tags, the searcher finds and replaces text within the notes, and the result can be exported to PNG, SVG, PDF, or JSON, or shown in full screen in presentation mode. Six of the thirteen templates already come with notes: Brainstorming, Retrospective, Kanban, User journey, SWOT, and Quarterly roadmap. A board can be edited by one person at a time: there is no simultaneous editing, so group sessions are done by screen sharing and distributing, exporting, or commenting.
