## In summary

- Ready templates: kanban, retrospective, org chart, user journey, and flowchart
- Twelve pre-made boards and a blank canvas. Choose one, it opens with its frames, notes, tables, and arrows in place, and all that's left is to write.

## Ready templates: kanban, retrospective, org chart, user journey, and flowchart

Twelve templates, not two: kanban, retrospective, org chart, user journey, and flowchart, plus mind map, SWOT, brainstorming, prioritization matrix, empathy map, Business Model Canvas, and quarterly roadmap. And the blank canvas, if you prefer to start from scratch.

One click and you're in: the template grid appears on the same page as the 'New' button, with the name and a line about what each one includes. When you choose it, the board is created with that name and opens in the editor. No assistants or intermediate steps.

They come pre-filled, not with an empty frame: the kanban has its notes spread across columns, the flow comes connected with 'Yes' and 'No' arrows labeled, the org chart has its three levels linked, and the user journey has the phase table already filled with headers.

Everything is editable from the very first second: what loads are real frames, notes, tables, shapes, and connectors. Change the title of a frame, repaint a note in ten colors, drag a box and the arrows follow it. Up to 1,500 elements and 1,500 connectors per board.

Opening a template doesn’t use tokens: it builds in your browser. FlowBoard's AI features (drawing a diagram from text, summarizing, grouping notes) are a separate path, and that’s where tokens are consumed.

Seven templates also serve as a presentation: kanban, retrospective, SWOT, priority matrix, empathy map, Business Model Canvas, and roadmap are made with numbered frames, and presentation mode goes through them in order at full screen. You set up the board and show it without exporting anything.

The right format for each meeting: colored notes where you need to think aloud (retro, brainstorming, SWOT), quadrants where you need to decide (priorities, empathy), a table where you need to compare phases (user journey), and boxes with arrows where you need to explain a process (flow, org chart).

And if none fit, there are three more options on the same sheet: a blank canvas, describe the diagram to the AI in one sentence, or import what you already have in Mermaid, draw.io, Visio (.vsdx), or FlowBoard JSON.

Twelve templates plus a blank canvas. They are: Flowchart (start, process, decision with two outputs, and end, all connected), Kanban (To Do, In Progress, Done with notes), Retrospective (What went well, To improve, Actions), Organizational Chart (seven boxes in three levels with connectors), User Journey (4x4 table with Phase, Actions, Pain Points, and Opportunities), Mind Map (central node and six curved branches), SWOT, Brainstorming (central question and eight notes), Priority Matrix (impact × effort in four quadrants), Empathy Map (Says, Thinks, Does, Feels), Business Model Canvas (the nine blocks), and Quarterly Roadmap (Q1 to Q4). All open from the same sheet, with their name and a line of description.

What templates does FlowBoard offer?

From your boards screen, click the 'New' button. The 'New Board' sheet opens with four options at the top —blank, create with AI, import a file— and below, the template grid under the label 'Templates'. Tap the one you want, and the board is created instantly, already titled with the template name, and opens directly in the editor. There is no confirmation step or prior form; if you want another name later, you can rename it from the board list. The account limit is 50 boards.

How do I open a template in FlowBoard?

Yes, completely. What loads the template are normal editor elements: frames with titles, sticky notes, tables, shapes, and connectors. You can rename frames, add or delete columns, repaint notes in ten colors, move boxes (the magnetic arrows follow them), change the routing of a connector to straight, angled, or curved, and keep adding elements up to the limit of 1,500 elements and 1,500 connectors per board. Nothing is locked or marked as 'template'.

Can I modify the template after opening it?

No. Templates are built in your browser with predefined positions and texts, so creating a board from one does not call any model or deduct tokens from your account. What does consume them are the AI features of FlowBoard, which are a different path within the same sheet: 'Create with AI' turns a phrase into a diagram, and within the board, the assistant can summarize it, group sticky notes by topic, or suggest connections.

Does opening a template consume AI tokens?

There is currently no simultaneous editing: each board is edited by one person, without cursors from other participants. In practice, the session is done by sharing the screen — the retrospective template is set up with frames, so the presentation mode displays them full screen one by one — and asynchronous work is collected in the comment thread of each element, which can be marked as resolved. When finished, the board can be exported to PNG, SVG, PDF, or JSON, and the history saves up to 30 versions per board.

Can I do the retrospective with my team at the same time on the same board?

FlowBoard is AIsToHire's infinite whiteboard, and its templates are the shortcut to avoid starting with a blank canvas. You click 'New' and the 'New Board' sheet offers you four paths: start from scratch, describe the diagram to the AI, import a file, or open one of the twelve templates, each with its name and a line explaining what it includes. One click and the board is created already titled —'Kanban', 'Retrospective', 'Org Chart'...— with all the elements in place.
The twelve: Flowchart (start, process, a decision with two outputs, and end, connected with angled arrows labeled 'Yes' and 'No'), Kanban (three frames —To Do, In Progress, Done— with four notes spread out), Retrospective (What went well, To improve, Actions), Org Chart (seven rounded boxes in three levels, from Management to Design, Backend, and Marketing, with six connectors), User journey (a 4×4 table with Phase, Actions, Pains, and Opportunities against Discover, Compare, and Buy), Mind map (central node with six curved branches), SWOT, Brainstorming (the question 'How could we...?' surrounded by eight colored notes), Prioritization matrix impact × effort, Empathy map (Says, Thinks, Does, Feels), Business Model Canvas with its nine blocks, and quarterly Roadmap from Q1 to Q4.
What opens is not a background image or a closed drawing: they are real elements of the editor —frames with titles, sticky notes, tables, shapes, and connectors— that you move, repaint, erase, duplicate, and connect just like any other. And they are assembled in your browser, so opening a template does not consume AI tokens.
From there, the board is a normal FlowBoard board: it auto-saves while you work, keeps up to 30 versions to go back, allows a comment thread on each element, and can be exported to PNG, SVG, PDF, JSON, or Mermaid. Since seven of the templates are built with frames, presentation mode takes them as slides and transitions them in order to full screen.
