## In summary

- Your Google listing, compared to the ones on your street
- For the owner of a local business who knows their Google rating but doesn't know if it's good for their area: aiCompetitor puts your listing next to your competitors', measures who's going up and who's going down week by week, and tells you what people really complain about. Updating your data is free.
- Your weekly neighborhood snapshot, free: You search for your business, confirm your listing on the map, and choose the monitoring radius — your street, your neighborhood, or your area. aiCompetitor suggests competitors in your category within it, and you add, remove, pause, or pin as many as you want, up to ten. From there, one button: 'Update data' checks the rating and number of reviews for the entire ring and saves a dated snapshot. It costs no tokens and you can do it as many times as you want; the app alerts you when your latest snapshot gets old and keeps track of your consecutive weeks.
- Local ranking, review velocity, and evolution: The ranking places you among your peers with rating and volume always together, flags listings with fewer than twenty reviews as unreliable, and can also be sorted by volume with one tap. On top of that, what can only be known by having history: how many reviews each listing gains per week — normalized, so a four-day interval and a twenty-day interval are comparable —, how much each rating has moved in 30 or 90 days compared with the neighborhood average, and your position, with names attached, when someone overtakes you. The charts for rating, reviews, and position can be filtered by rival or reduced to 'me vs. the area median'.
- Topic analysis, leaks, and action plan: When you request it — with the token cost written on the button itself and a confirmation before spending — the AI reads the accessible reviews of your listing and each rival and scores them on service and staff treatment, price, quality, wait, and cleanliness, plus any topics it detects on its own. The result is a report: your defensible strengths, your leaks against the businesses next to you with the name of who beats you in each one, what they mention about them and no one mentions about you, representative customer quotes, and a plan of three to five prioritized actions with a checklist. It can be shared as a WhatsApp summary or PDF, and you can compare today's report with the one from two months ago to see what has improved.

## You have a 4.4 on Google. Is that good or bad on your street, and are you going up or down?

Google shows you today's snapshot and nothing more: it doesn't tell you if your rating is good for your category and area, or if you're being overtaken, or what the businesses next to you are doing right. aiCompetitor solves this with three things. You put your listing alongside those of up to ten competitors in your neighborhood and see them ranked with their rating and review volume next to them, because a 4.9 with 12 reviews is not a 4.7 with 800. Every week you take a 'snapshot' of the ring — free, without spending tokens — and those snapshots build the history that doesn't exist anywhere: your evolution, how many reviews each one gains per week, and how your position moves. And whenever you want, the AI reads the accessible reviews, scores them by topic, and leaves you a concrete plan for this week.

## The benchmark, the history, and the why

It's not another dashboard that repeats the rating you already see on Google: it's the comparison with your street, the evolution Google doesn't keep, and the reading of what the reviews say.

### Your weekly neighborhood snapshot, free

You search for your business, confirm your listing on the map, and choose the monitoring radius — your street, your neighborhood, or your area. aiCompetitor suggests competitors in your category within it, and you add, remove, pause, or pin as many as you want, up to ten. From there, one button: 'Update data' checks the rating and number of reviews for the entire ring and saves a dated snapshot. It costs no tokens and you can do it as many times as you want; the app alerts you when your latest snapshot gets old and keeps track of your consecutive weeks.

### Local ranking, review velocity, and evolution

The ranking places you among your peers with rating and volume always together, flags listings with fewer than twenty reviews as unreliable, and can also be sorted by volume with one tap.

### Topic analysis, leaks, and action plan

When you request it — with the token cost written on the button itself and a confirmation before spending — the AI reads the accessible reviews of your listing and each rival and scores them on service and staff treatment, price, quality, wait, and cleanliness, plus any topics it detects on its own.

## From a lone rating to the benchmark, in three steps

1. **Confirm your Google listing** — Type your business name, select your listing from those shown, and confirm it on the map. Choose whether you want to track your street, your neighborhood, or your area.
2. **Build your ring of rivals** — We suggest businesses in your category within the radius, with the five most relevant already marked. You add the ones you know are real competition and remove the ones that don't belong.
3. **Take your snapshot every week** — One tap updates everyone's rating and reviews and saves the snapshot. By the second one, you already have a chart, velocity, and position movements. You launch the topic analysis whenever you want to know the why.

## Frequently asked questions

### Where does the data come from, and why do you only see five reviews from each competitor?

Everything comes from the official Google Places API. We don't scrape Google Maps or any portal, which is exactly what could put your listing at risk. That API has a real limit, and we prefer to state it on screen rather than hide it: it returns a maximum of five reviews per listing. That's why the topic analysis for your competitors is based on that sample, and the app labels it as indicative, not statistical, with the exact number of reviews it worked from at the bottom of each report. The rating, the total number of reviews, and the ranking are the complete data for each listing.

### Why is my chart empty on the first day?

Because the history doesn't exist anywhere and has to be built. Google shows today's snapshot and doesn't keep anyone's past: not yours or your competitors'. No one can give you what your street was worth six months ago. What aiCompetitor does is start accumulating history from your first snapshot: with two, the review velocity and first movements already appear, and within a few weeks you have the curve for your rating and each rival's. That's why the recommendation is weekly or biweekly; daily changes nothing.

### What costs tokens and what doesn't?

Updating the data is free: searching for your business, signing up, managing competitors, the ring snapshots, the ranking, review velocity, drift, position, and all the charts don't deduct anything. Only the part the AI writes costs tokens: the topic analysis and the report with the action plan. The cost is written on the button itself, and before you run it, you see what you'll get, what it costs, and what balance you'll have left. Nothing runs on its own, and if the analysis fails, nothing is deducted.

### Do you store my business reviews and my competitors' reviews?

No. Google's terms allow us to keep the identifier of a listing, but not to store Places content, and the text of reviews is Places content. aiCompetitor only stores metrics and its own analyses: the rating, the volume, your position, the scores by topic, and the summaries and plans it generates. The text of reviews is handled only while it is processed and is then discarded. The only exception is the representative quotes that illustrate each topic in the report, which carry a date and a short expiration: when it expires, the report keeps all its analysis and instead shows a notice explaining why they have been removed.
